Meet Chantel and the Pack
A lifetime of training. A home full of love.
A Lifetime With Dogs
Chantel has been training dogs since the age of seven. Growing up alongside her father, who bred Champion American line German Shepherds, she learned early that the bond between dog and handler is built on trust, consistency, and clear communication. What started as a childhood spent surrounded by working dogs became a lifelong calling.
Over the years, Chantel built her own pet care and training business from the ground up. She has worked with hundreds of dogs across every breed, size, and temperament — from anxious rescues to high-drive working breeds. Her hands-on experience spans decades, and every dog she works with benefits from that depth of knowledge.
Beauty and Her Beasts Dog Training is the result of that journey: a professional board-and-train program run out of Chantel's own home in Calimesa, CA. No kennels. No sterile facilities. Just a real home environment where dogs are loved, supervised, and trained every single day.
Training Philosophy
Chantel uses a balanced training approach. That means she draws from a full range of methods — positive reinforcement, structured routines, leash guidance, and fair corrections — to find what works best for each individual dog. There is no one-size-fits-all formula here.
Every program is customized based on the dog's breed, age, temperament, and the goals of the owner. Chantel's framework is built on three pillars:
Education
Teaching new skills through repetition, clarity, and reward.
Engagement
Building a relationship where the dog wants to work with its handler.
Clear Communication
Giving consistent signals so the dog always understands expectations.
Why Balanced Training Works
Positive reinforcement teaches a dog what to do. Fair, well-timed corrections teach a dog what not to do. Together, they create a complete picture that dogs understand quickly. The result is faster progress, longer-lasting behavior change, and a calmer dog overall.
Chantel does not use fear, intimidation, or harsh punishment. Balanced training is about clarity and fairness, not dominance. Every correction is proportional, every reward is earned, and every dog is treated with respect.
Meet the Pack — Koda and Enzo
No board-and-train program is complete without proper socialization, and that is where Koda and Enzo come in. These two pack dogs live with Chantel full time and play a critical role in every training program.
Koda and Enzo help visiting dogs learn appropriate social behavior — how to greet politely, how to share space, how to read body language, and how to settle down in a group. For dogs that struggle with reactivity or poor social skills, working alongside calm, well-trained pack members is one of the most effective tools available.
Dogs are pack animals by nature. Training alongside stable, balanced dogs accelerates the learning process in ways that no amount of solo drills can replicate.
